hi there xD,TMM *team mapper mundial*bringing you a new firefight in progress yay xD with custom BSP and alot of stuffs :P here some pics of the work done.





people working on the Firefight.

ChBgt909:bsp modeling and others stuffs
Dump AI (cry baby):scripting,shaders and others stuffs
creator843:scripting,structure modeling,other stuffs(hate you simon )
final444h:scripting and other stuffs.

any one who could help or want to join is welcome,we will hear any opinion from you guys, or ideas, to make this firefight good :D

note: we are Taking care of bsp first.

yeah i know, but just as you said, the map is not complete, it needs more cover, and those polies are going to be to make some hills, and make attachment of some objects easier, trust me, i'm not finished with the model :)

I would suggest designing a much more complex and nonlinear layout that would last longer for a firefight mission. The one presented is fairly boring in design and seems like it could get boring easily.

trust me, it won't stay like that, i just want to know what the team wants me to add to the terrain, that part is not clear yet :S

Think you should make your land bridges much thicker.
I fear that the layout you are suggesting will take away any real LZ for Covenant dropships.

What you need to aim for is some good clean LZ areas, several different defensible positions that can be attacked from at least 2 sides each, and routes connecting them. You could also add in some dangerous areas with less cover, that contain powerful weapons or powerups.

yeah, in fact, one of the LZ will be right in the front middle of the map, there's going to be a platform where enemies will be dropped, (i don't know what concept will the platform have, covenant or forerunner, team haven't told me yet) , i don't know where the player's base and "safe areas"will be, nor the other LZ areas and enemies spawn points...

oh and yeah, i won't make the structures or sapien and scripting work for this map, just the terrain as i'm a bit busy with other stuff

i like where the cave is, but those land bridges... they still need to be wider they look like they would collapse if stood on though it would be nice to have a masterchief model or a dropship for reference in the photo so we can get a better idea of size

I think yellow-ish grass would work well on some places.

Tundra-like, you mean ? it have never been done before as far as I know. it can blend with a lumoria sky...
Also, chtbgt, could you try to change the model of the cliffs to make them more sharp, with more dimension and bevels, instead of being plane and boring ? I think you could optimize a lot what you did by making plane >4 faces and extrudes on the base you did, I dont think you would loose too muc polies, or even making them more rifted/striated (like stairs => would fit a tundra-like environnement)
Just givin my 2 cents

@dumb_ai: yeah, he pm'd me about it, and well i won't take too long to complete the bsp, it's just that i've been too busy with other things not only college so yeah, i will start working again on the map on sunday, sorry, oh and btw, i don't think i will have the time to make the structures myself, and creator won't be able either, can you get someone to make the structure for us (even yourself)?
