As I am sure many of you know I am working with hoboscience on a starwars project. (Halo Star Wars, it was featured in CE3)

We have a turret on the Millinium Falcon and we would like it to make noise when you rotate. (like some kind of motor noise when you look around in the turret)

Does anyone know how to do this.

i'm not great with this sort of thing, but would this not be added as a fp animation seeing the turret would maybe be using a weapon? i was just looking at the pistol weapon fp animation tag to get an idea of how it might work and i see there is the option for the sound to be added, same way the ready, pistol melee, reload and posing is added.

what happens if you put the sound to be played on the overlay anim for rotation limits ?

@SilentJacket: I have not personally done much of anything on any of my projects recently, The semester is back in full force and I have been swamped with physics and calculus work (blegh). I *might* get a chance to model it this coming weekend, but no promises.

@ally: Thanks for the suggestion, but turrets are not first person. So they have no first person animations

@bourrin33: I will pass that along to hoboscience, thanks for the suggestion.

I've tried attaching a sound file to the aim-still animation before but I had no luck however I'll try again later tonight and get back to all of you.

There's a function in $$UNIT$$ called "aiming change" or similar. Use that.

I am glad you saw it, I hadn't gotten a chance to let you know about the responses yet.
