I think I posted something like this before, but I can't remember.

I'm looking for a skilled programmer who would be able to work with Kornman's BlamLib and add methods for resource extraction from Halo3, such as models/bitmaps/animations/sounds etc for use in HaloCE. Its a project I've wanted to do for a long time, but I lack the skills. My first attempt was Adjutant (a program for model and bitmap extraction some of you might know) but it used a different library to BlamLib and had lots of flaws. As far as I know, BlamLib has all the needed tag interfaces to find the resources, it just needs the specific methods to extract them. All I need you to do is the extraction methods, I can make the UI and actual program myself.

What does this have to do with HaloCE? I want the tool and Halo3 resources for a HaloCE project, and if the tool ever gets made ill probably release it and people can use it to make CE content and machinima. PM me if you can help, or comment with any questions.

Why not also one for reach ? :D
And I dont think halomaps will help you much, you should try other communities sites, modacity for example. Or h3/reach communities

I'm not really that interested in Reach, although it would be fun. But it would also be a lot harder to find anyone who can code extraction from Reach :/

Made the most epic minecraft mod in java, surely he'll do equally as well in other languages.

I see I have some fans.
Realistically though I am a good programmer, have a bachelor in computer science for a reason and have made many useful apps in real life. I'd have a master in it too if I didn't switch courses out of interest.

Unfortunately I simply have no interest in modding or coding for Halo (and I don't understand why others really would, why not work on own custom projects where you can make a profit from?, but to each their own).

(I'm Lodex btw)

Which mod would that be?

Well there could be a profit if you sold the program like they did with Darkfall, but that's not what I'm after, and you could also profit from it if you got paid to do it. I'm in my first year of Bachelor of Software Engineering and I've made things too, but what I'm after is beyond my skills, otherwise I'd just do it myself using all the code I already have. The project is aimed more at the community than it is at me.

On another note, does anyone know where I can find Xenon7 (aka Detox, XenonOmega)?

Is that even legal though, to sell such programs??
And my Minecraft mod was just a small little project, it didn't actually get released because the maker kept updating his game every few weeks and I got tired of having to follow suite. If you're a minecraft fan and were interested in my ideas you can always check it out:

Also, are you grimdoomer by any chance? Cause I recall we used to talk often on AIM years ago :)

I don't know if its legal, but Darkfall had some extraction capabilities which you could only use with paid premium account, among many other things. Minecraft isn't updated as often now, it was in beta stage back then so it had lots more frequent changes. And no, I'm not grimdoomer, sorry.
