happens that when I have a new map created in 3dmax and get it to sapien, after all I'm going to put background sound to the map (as usually when I edit a normal map) and compile it and open it in halo just do not hear it, I put ambient sound or background music, no need to create something beyond me missing? reiterate the map was completely created in 3dmax means not bring weapons, vehicles and nothing like that ..

GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND!
(script startup music (sound_looping_start levels\d40\music\d40_08 1) )
Use that script, change levels\d40\music\d40_08 to the .sound_looping file. Sound_looping files are created in gurilla.

No Google IS NOT MI FRIEND. Thanks but why do i need a script if on normal maps like bloodgulch i just need to go to cluster prop etc...?

You need a script for sound, period. Cluster prop is for sound in a certain area, and is a terrible idea for background music. Use the script above, if you need any help with setting up the script, use GOOGLE FIRST, then post back here.

They will work if they're in a script. A script saves some tagspace too - scripts are tiny.
