Been looking at some halo 4 concept and ingame art and thought about something. LOOK AT THESE FLOORS! (sry for PNG but I am not hosting this image) These guys MUST have, in actuality, left the galaxy because they couldn't figure out why the hell they were so unlucky as to continually break or twist their ankles.

Anyways, It doesn't look like there are any actual edges that protrude up out of all of those floor pieces more than a just a tiny bit, enough to cast a shadow, but not enough to really get in the way. Or maybe the Forerunners just floated around :P Edited by Bobblehob on Jun 21, 2012 at 11:38 PM

Their engine and assets just use good looking tricks like DirectX tessellation and parallax mapping to generate more detail.

The floors have so much indents, holes, and things sticking out of them he is making a joke to how many times the forerunners have tripped on those pieces.
