Just asking, does anyone have halo CEA ?
The engine for campaign is the halo:CE engine, albeit slightly modified.
With some luck, if somebody could rip the maps from the disk, we could try and get them working on CE.

Thanks!

Well they now use the saber3d graphics engine.
There still might be stuff that we can rip from the maps and use.

go on you tube if you don't own the game, get a walk through video, and some reference images of the map you want in hce from someone who has the game and model it.
there's no point in taking map models from another game and just sticking it in hce. where's the enjoyment of that?
the time spent fixing the errors on any map model would be pointless considering you could have modeled it and learned along the way.

edit: also you mention you are a coder?
write a tags and bsp extractor for it then if that's the only way you are prepared to see this stuff in-game.

Halo 1 CE Remake Anniversary has a different engine since as you can see it has different options and also can you see in-game? There are some normal maps, spectacular and better lights and etc...

Do you think Halo 1 CE old engine can handle that ( with OS yes )

The recommended thing to use is to ISO rip it or wait for a Halo CE:A modding application which allows to extract models and bitmaps or even sounds.

Didn't they say that they didn't change the engine, but they just used another engine with it so it could switch graphics and such? Or am i wrong.... \:|

I can get a copy of the ISO easily enough. However when you have the ISO what do you do with it lol.

The CEA Engine in use along side the original is a modified Reach variant. Both the CE and CEA version run side by side independant of eachother. The only thing that connects the two, is the fact that they are synced to provide on the fly changing of new/old without anything skipping a beat. Even if you ripped the maps off the disk for the CEA ones, they have the same tag encryption as standard Reach counterparts. The only way you could rip the models, is if someone from ZTeam released the source for eXtraction, and you modified it to handle the variant engine maps of CEA. But that is not likely to happen.
