Hey guys,
I thought that the music from some of the more recent Halo games would fit really well in some scenarios from the first game. So I decided to screen capture segments of the campaign without music and edit-in newer music using Sony Vegas. Here's an example of what I have done so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSxx1S3B3lo&feature=youtu.be Unfortunately, my ideas so far are limited to gameplay segments, because while setting the music volume to 0 mutes music in gameplay, music still plays in cutscenes (understandably). Anyone who knows how to even delete all music from the level, your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Long term I would like to look at even placing the music in the actual game, but from what I have seen, this would be a massive undertaking.
Any help or advice appreciated.

The hardest part would be editing the pc .map file. Editing custom maps is not a problem, but editing .maps from the original game and playing them in the original game and not from the console could be difficult. Take the map and extract all its goodies. Then get its script and place sound_looping_start commands wherever you want the music to start. Or if you want no music, delete the instances in the script that reference the music, and no music will be played. Placing music in the game is easy once you know how. If you have any music you want converted to .sound or .sound_looping files, send it to me and I'll be glad to do it.
