Okay, so I am working on a weapon and I just got some what it in game, but parts are missing. Faces on the main body of the gun as well as separate pieces don't show in game. I have already tried exporting as a mesh and poly, made sure there were no scaling issues, and welded. Tool does not give any errors either. Is there somthing else I can try?

Nope, still not wrorking. I noticed that exactly half the model is missing. I modeled half the weapon and mirrored for the side which does not show.

Yes, some parts are linked to other frames which are linked to the frame gun, but ultimately everything is linked to the frame gun.

Also I just noticed that some of the other sides of the gun is missing. At first I thought it was just half.

Try unifying normals.

Did you use the mirror modifier? Maybe reset xform?

Try applying the "Normals" modifier, then convert it to an editable Poly, then apply the "Normals" modifier AGAIN and convert it to editable poly again. That will reset the normals as sometimes I have a glitch in max where some are flipped and some aint.

@XlzQwerty1 while modeling the weapon I did use the mirror modifier, which some seems to have caused some problems. Yes I reset xform.

@Hunter I tried that and the model is now showing up more in halo, but most of it is still missing.

is it mesh or poly because something similar happened to me being that i made a ship model and most parts didnt appear until i pass it to mesh so that might be your problem as well

THANK YOU . All the parts are finally showing up. I had tried mesh before, but I had not done the normals modifier yet so it had not worked at the time. I think I would have kept going in circles without help.

That silly exporter must prefer it to be editable mesh then... strange
