I'm trying to make a surface on the actual hand itself as well, make it solid where you can see through it. However, "cap" under Edit Border makes extra surface because the border also includes the X(in the picture) as well as the Y, and that creates extra surfaces that i cannot delete without deleting the rest of the shape.

So HOW can i make that surface? 3D snap does not work for the life of me, everytime i try selecting verticies in create polygon is just creates them behind the point i click and its stupid.

But help? PLEASE?

you must be using 3ds max 2010 or higher?
i have noticed that if you are not right onto the vert when you click to create a poly, then it adds a vert.
anyway to fill that in use edge mode and bridge just, it should work fine.
or just manually create the polys but make sure you are on the vert when you click, or max will just add a vert in that area you click on.

got that sorted out, thanks.

Next question, i have a bunch of flat polys right next to each other (same rotation and everything) how do i combine them?
