I made a tag where a flood elite would act like an elite commander variant with an energy sword but instead it spawns something else in the game instead of this energy sword flood elite.(I got this from an idea who got a flood elite with a plasma rifle to act like this). it spawns the flood elite shielded with plasma rifle instead of the one I want. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know thanks.

You need to go into the .weapon tag of the energy sword and go down to the weapon label and change it to "pr" without the quotes. The location for this is right underneath the column of check-off boxes in the section $$$WEAPON$$$. Replace the "fb" with "pr" as I mentioned before and you should be good.

The reason why the game does this is because, by default, the model_animation tag for the Flood Combat Form Elite does not contain the "fb" weapon label. To compensate and prevent exception, it refers to the .weapon that is equipped in the .biped tag.

The best way to do this is to simply go into the Elite Flood Combat Form Unarmed and give it the energy sword tag (plus all of the other modifications you've made). There is a "fake death" section in the tags somewhere, but for the life of me I cannot find it.

Unfortunately, there is no default method of placing the sword in that hand. You would have to mess with the markers of the .model_animations to accomplish that or create an animation for the non-tentacle arm to swing it.

I'm afraid you'll have to research that on your own; unfortunately, I'm not very proficient with animations.

You'll need 3ds Max at the very least to animate anything properly. Here is their website, the student edition is free:

If you're unable to use the student, then just try the 30 day trial:

Get the earliest versions they have (2010 or 2011 are the best).
