well I got an energy sword tag with lunge and added it in one of my ai maps. I found that the lunge on the sword was extremely weak so I modified the damage lower and higher bounds on the lunge but now every time I attack a creature with it it kills me and the ai unit does anyone know how to help me thank you and very much appreciated.

Maybe the sword was meant to damage you when you lunge.Since you increased the damage,you would die when the lunge damage affected you.Basically,lower the damage.

That fake lunge effect is from basically a rocket up your ass. When you lunge a damage effect takes place to push you forward, and you have raised the damage so urr.. you have answered your own question.
I believe you could create a new damage effect tag where no damage is done but you still get affected and pushed as you would normally, am I correct people?

If you are wanting marines vs flood then do this.
Set the Marines/Spartans team index to zero which is default red team. And then set the flood team index to One which is blue team. Alternatively you can set the flood to their own index "Flood"
As for wandering the map you need firing positions. It should be under Encounters > Squads > I forgot after this but it should say "Firing Positions"
Now the firing positions are kind of not very "Smooth" For example if you place Instance 0 at X: 2 Y:5 Z:0 and firing positon 1 at X:5 Y:7 Z:0 they will go from 0 to 1 however they will stop for a brief moment after reaching each position.
If you want them to just all meet up in a big battle. Put 2 Marine & Spartan Firing positions at blue base and 2 Folod firing positions at red base.
Sorry if this isn't clear. I am not at home lol.

thanks it helped oh crap now I tried to make flood elite actor variant have shields so I put 100 for shield vitality and not the shield wont deplete

its the shield recharge because the sniper staggers it and the rocket launcher kills it but nothing else kills it

Make sure the material of the shield collision you're using has a damage multiplier in every weapon you're using (or simply make sure it is selected as "energy shield" in the dropbox in the .collision_model tag).
