Ok this is weird, when I try to export my map in tool I get an error (see picture below)... The weird thing is, I dont have these materials in my map. I have the example_tutorial_plate and example_tutorial_metal. I did have these in the map at one point, but I changed them to these ones because I kept getting this error.



Can anybody help me?

Use shader_environment's instead of shader_model's

When you export from 3ds max and compile with tool, the name of your materials in max are searched through your entire tag set. When you have something with the same name, for example your "plate" material, it uses that instead of creating a new blank shader tag. Just rename the materials in max to something more complex than just "plate". Add a prefix or suffix for your shaders and few underscores if you have to in 3ds max.
