Ok im gonna try to do my best to describe my problem, but please keep in mind that im french.

ok, so here is my problem: While I am modeling/texturing in autodesk 3ds max 2009 student version, some of my texture (that I wasn't working on) are kind of changing by themself.

I mean, immagine im re-touching the B texture with UVWmap. Then, when I convert the map back in editable mesh, and continue to do things, I realize later that the texture A changed by itself. I dont know how to describe in english, but it changed in a way that I didn't want and I got to re-touch it too. (so its a big waste of time, belive me...)

I've talked with my friend about it, and she told me that It's maybe because all of my texture are in the same material editor.

here is what I mean:

What do I have to do if I want to work without having to re-texture everything everytime?!

Model material IDs. Check them, and see if they match with your problem, and if they do, fix. :)

i noticed that if you only use the diffuse colour (as you have done on that image) as multimaterials, the colour you apply
isn't visible. try using the bitmaps from the halo custom edition data\levels folders instead.
that way they will stay there when you apply the next texture and you will gain more practice
working with the proper textures.
