does anybody know bungie's next game since their split from microsoft or are they secretly making halo 4, 5 ?

Halo 4, 5, and 6 have already been announced and are being made by 343 Studios. Bungie can no longer make any more Halo games as they have finished their partnership with Microsoft, but that doesn't mean they've stopped all together.

Bungie only partnered with Activision for publishing purposes. Activision has almost NO say in what Bungie can and can't do.

Bungie is allowed to do whatever they pretty much want, and the only thing we know about their next game is that it's not Halo.

Nah it doesn't suck, bungie was losing their Halo touch in my and many other's opinion...

Imo the only good halo game the modern bungie put out is H3, h2 and reach are my least favorites of the series.

H2 seemed to cartoony to me. I've never player H3 and reach wasn't all that bad, as long as you stick to only playing firefight games with custom gametypes because the ones bungie made SUCK!. Erm. But yeah, who else agrees with me that bungie should make it so you can forge custom firefight maps. They give you a pretty much blank canvas, slab of concrete surrounded by slanted yet still cliffed off rock walls with a wooded area on top of them that is accessible but has another cliff wall a little ways back from that that is much higher that you can't get past, then you just forge in bases, trees, rocks, weapons, creates, barrels, ect. then you place AI spawn points and dropship drop off places...Yeah, so, maybe i'm over thinking it...But still, that would be awesome.

Only reason each Halo game changes is to take advantage of modern techniques and technology...

I would think that most reliable and logical place to find that information would be at their official website http://www.bungie.net/.

My step Uncle who worked for Bungie says they're going to make a Halo 4 to compete with Microsoft.

They have a new game under developement, currently codenamed: 'Tiger'. look it up, it will be an mmorpgfps < hahaha. Huge free-world play only for online play.

That was a rumor a while ago. Bungie already announced that it wasn't true.

Expect bungie's new game to be a lot like planetside (2).

I agree, it's quite silly. Bungie wrapped up the game with Halo 3, leaving barely any room for a sequel. However, Microsoft would never drop this cash cow; they dramatically increase their profits on a bad FPS by slapping the Halo title on it. The original trilogy plus ODST will stay the only real Halo games for me.

Every game is trying to be COD these days. It's hard to tell one FPS from another.

I'm actually glad bungie isn't doing Halo 4. I love bungie don't get me wrong but Reach really didn't have a Halo feel. I really think the guys in the office wanted to go work on new things. I hope they put more focus on their SP, I think their increasing focus on MP has cost us alot in the term of SP.

As for 343i, everything they have made so far reminds me of what I actually liked in Halo old era: Halo 1, Fall of Reach, everything around it... I think Frankie there is doing an awesome job on focusing Halo on just exactly what I like.

I think it looks pretty good imo, not that I'll buy it. I liked the trailer until 0:36 where the player charges at the enemy like a lunatic.
