not as simple as it sounds though, you then have to clean that data and add the markers to it as the pure data on it's own is useless. Use Autodesk Motionbuilder for that. Once you get the hang of it, it's rather easy, ive done it.
And you need at least 4 cameras tbh, and might be complicated to setup the cameras.

Can one create a bip or bvh file from pre-existing animations? And do the bones of the biped have to be the same?

I am making a tut on how to use these on your own rig, and get them ingame. I have the animations baked to keyframes on the bones now and need someone to tell me the best setup to get the anim ingame. I do not have any kinect cameras or ps3 cameras, or i would use a real jetpack to create a mocap of jetpack :) , google "brekel" if you do have these things. seeing you guys put kinect motion cap in-game, something popped out of my head,
Assassination Idea : when ever u press "flaslight/q", it projects a stun/emp dmg that prevents walking and plays ur DIY assassination animation then releases the kill dmg . has anybody thought of that?
