Hey there fellas, I've been having a problem with this H3 Fuel Rod Gun for quite a bit now. It's the one that was just recently released by Jesse. Anyways, ingame, I pick it up fine and everything, the only problem is that it's just a reticle on my screen, and the projectile fires out of where I assume the gun would be if I could see it. Now if it helps, I'm using the Elite_v2 from the CMT Elite Tag Pack that was released a while ago. I've scrolled down to interfaces in guerilla and made sure it had an fp model/needed animations, but it just doesn't appear. I've even tried making the 3rd person model the 1st person model, and I'm encountering the same problem. The only time it appears is when I use the halo 1 fuel rod model (which is silly because you're holding an h3 one and it looks like an h1 model in fp.) So, do you guys have any suggestions as to what I could possibly be doing wrong?
EDIT: Now I'm encountering an error that came out of nowhere, and it's not allowing me to open Sapien; it crashed immediately. Anyone know how to fix this? 12.24.11 22:15:00 a hobo pc 01.01.00.0609 ---------------------------------------------- 12.24.11 22:15:00 reference function: _write_to_error_file 12.24.11 22:15:00 reference address: 401b13 12.24.11 22:15:00 Couldn't read map file './a_hobobeta.map' 12.24.11 22:15:01 CreateDevice succeeded with refresh rate = 0

I don't understand how it wouldn't though, everything appears to be matching, I'm using the model and animations intended for it.

What FP arms are you using? Try just using the normal stock FP arms first, if you aren't already.

I don't see any error there, I get it all the time straight from my debug text from October: 10.14.11 21:30:24 sapien pc 01.00.00.0609 ---------------------------------------------- 10.14.11 21:30:24 reference function: _write_to_error_file 10.14.11 21:30:24 reference address: 401b13 10.14.11 21:30:24 Couldn't read map file './sapienbeta.map' 10.14.11 21:30:24 CreateDevice succeeded with refresh rate = 0 Further more I don't think CMTs elite FP arms are compatible with that weapon. Those FP arms are only compatible with the weapons teh_lag listed. I don't know why, but when I used those same hands with weapons not on the list I came up with your problem.

Thanks, the problem might in fact be within the arms I was using. Now on to the problem with Sapien, if that's the case, I may have a more serious problem, because now when I try and start halo, I get this problem: "A problem occurred initializing Direct3D. Hardware acceleration may be disabled, please run DXDIAG." This may or may not be related to my Sapien problem.. jeez, I just can't get a break today. Thanks for your help, I was actually surfing through those articles when I checked back here. I'll try restarting my computer and see if that does anything, as I did not have anything wrong that those articles deemed as potential causes. First this fuel rod gun, then sapien, then Halo CE in general. Come on computer, it's the holidays.

I don't know about the new issue your having, but I can at least give you the reason the weapon wasn't showing up. I always found that if I knew what caused the problem, I would always know how to fix it or avoid it altogether in the future. The reason is that the FP animations to not match the overall rig. That means the animations must match both the weapon's AND the fp arms' nodes.
