To gain some experience on how to actually compile sounds check here: http://vimeo.com/18808279 Was a small tutorial I did a while ago to get a show to how to loop a sound and compile it. To do voices (im assuming you mean ingame dialouge when running around and firing etc) Open a new dialouge tag in Guerrilla, and just go down the list and record varients for each block you need. Then organize them in folders, compile (22khz, mono, uncompressed), and then open all sound files in Guerrilla, and set it to "unit_dialouge" as a type, and then make sure gain is AT LEAST 0.85 or higher (max = 1). Recompile it all in tool, and then link the sounds in the dialouge tag. Save your dialouge tag, open the biped you want it for, and scroll down to the dialouge section. Add your dialouge tag, and your good to go (don't worry about grenades and everything else, you just need to link it). Edited by Higuy on Dec 11, 2011 at 03:44 PM

What program are you using Higuy? I think i might just use that instead. Do you need a mic to record with that?

I use Sony Vegas 7.0. And when I do record, I use Audocity (yea you need a mic). I just use Vegas to export the sounds to the correct format since I've never been able to get audocity to do it correctly for me.

Oh, maybe because i have a built in webcam on my laptop. So you can just use audacity to export sound and the compile it into halo with out anything else? Does it have to have a certain format to be able to be compiled? Edited by P3 on Dec 11, 2011 at 06:24 PM
