Ok so the map. i need a map maker to make a map for me. not add all the thing to just make the model and make it into the .scenario tag for me would real be nice. So if u could be so nice i would like it to be a drested map with a little lake in the middle and a sand ground+rock walls\cliff. Any base that u like but only 2 base. And if u could could u upload here for me a tell me what u called it. And put ur name in a .txt file or somthing. So i can thank u + give u 50% off the onwer ship.

Now the modder help. i want to make a mod where ai spawn in vehicles and can driver. if u know plz post. Thanks to every who has helpped me\are helpping me. Thank u all if this site was not up then i would not know how to add ai to maps and so.

what kind of bases?

human bases?

forerunner bases?

covenant bases?

a mix of one and another type?

Maybe you can draw one or give a layout?

As long as it a dersert type map im all good with it. Any base u like. I just want it because i cant build a custom map but i want to make(Help) my friend 1 for his birthday ( he loves halo). But he cant play online his ping is 2000+ so i said ill try to make a new map with ai. But when i found out i cant i just ask for help. Any ways any base u like. As long as the map is real big and has a lake in the middle its all good. Thanks.

Is there a reason as to why you are unable to build your own custom map? Maybe we could help you to create your own, instead of you having to ask everytime. :)

Any ideas where the lake and bases should go?
And I hope this little BSP doesn't come off as boring or plain, I've never modeled an outside before :P (well I have, but NEVER outdoors-only)
Mind the green-ness of the ground, i'm still working on it,

Thanks. That looks really cool. The lake sould just be in the middle of the map (or near there) and a base at each end of the feild. Dose not really matter what end. And thanks 4 doing this. And as for y i cant build a map. I dont know. I flowwed a mapping guid did every thing right and got to buildding the .scenario tag and it wouldn't let me make it. But i think its my pc. I dont really know but what every it is. It makes me really mad because i could not make the map i want. But this map OrangeJuice is 100x better than i thought of. 100\10 on the map. And thanks. (I think my friend will lose his mind when he see this.)

Make sure your death.jms in the folders mentioned. Data>Levels>death>models

It has to be in exactly data\levels\death\MODELS\ folder

you may have misspelled something, maybe a folder/maybe a file/maybe more than 1 thing

let me break it down for you.
Double click on DATA. Then double click on LEVELS. Then double click on DEATH. Then double click on MODELS. Place you death.jms IN HERE.

If any folders are missing, just create them.

Its just like that. Anyways. Is gmax hard than 3dmax. Any idea on a easy tool for me to use to make maps. Plz give me links. Im really good at modding maps to add ai it just the custom maps hard

sorry if i have read this wrong but i see your talking about problems making a map,
if your trying to make a map .scenario with tool then your command should be
tool bitmaps levels\death\bitmaps
then
tool structure levels\death death
then you save it as death.jms in the models folder.

then you would runn tool command...
tool lightmaps levels\death\death death 0 0.9 let then take thetime needed to complete.
then open sapien and locate the .scenario file which will be in your maps folder, but this time it
will be saved in the tags\levels\death folder.

i noticed the command you are typing is tool models, which isn't right.

okay i see your already typing the tool structure command so i was wrong there.
you must need to be doing what the guys above have already mentioned,
name it death.jms then when you get the prompt save it in the right place.

anyway i'm sure oj will do a good job on the map for you.

Added a base, but it's too small for any sort of good gameplay. So now it isn't a base, it is just one building of a planned multi-building base.

Now that is super cool. Ands thats a good spot to put the lake(Now i can hise a weapon there that no 1 will find.XD) Ans is just looks good as it is. I wish i could make a map like.....I wish i could make a map. But still i have a idea. Its a multi-building base. How many levels?

And yes it is for a birthday gift. But dont worry if u need a few more weeks or somthing it will not mater. (i gave him bloodgulch with ai in it. that sould keep him happy for a few weeks). And to be host i did not tell him its his b-day gift. just in case u need more time. its better to make it work right than to have a map that will crash.

Just 1 more thing oj. how much more do u need to do. Its just so i can get to work on getting custom guns. i have 4 custom guns i download from here but if i cant find so more ill just use the normal weapons. and then make a version 2 of it with custom guns.

Wellp, I'm not dead, it's just that it's college exam week.

I need to add the opposing base, and maybe I'll even add a road, and a tunnel sealed off by an invisible wall( the road and the inaccessible tunnel are just to make the map make sense :P Ya know? why build a 500ft road that doesn't leave the canyon?)
