I see, so how did bungie made them in the first place if they were that big? And what about the scale option in the EMF importer?

Halo3 is much more advanced than Halo1, and would hence have a much bigger size limit. Tha scale option changes the size that it imports the model as, the default option is the normal size. You can change the size for whatever reason if you want.

What you're really saying is, why can't Halo 1 do what Halo 3 can? LOL.

No, i mean how did they make that big of a sky in 3DS Max? I know That it would be impossible for Halo CE. But i guess they managed to create that IN 3DS Max. So why can't get that model in 3ds max?

I really don't know. Try reducing the import scale, or maybe using a different sky model. As far as I know, all sky models are basically the same but with different sizes and bitmaps (at least in Halo1 anyway)

EDIT: Adjutant R2 has made it to halomaps, check back to the first post

No, not since R2. I've added an overwrite toggle for batch extraction and some other small tweaks, but its not worth a new version just for that. I've also started an experimental "extract to .jms" but its only partially done, as is the model viewer. Unfortunately I can't go any further until the results of Hurricane Irene have been fully cleared up (unless you don't really want sound extraction and a model viewer)

Are you able to improve the model extraction, e.g. the flipped faces, the extra faces linked to other faces that are safe to delete in 3ds max?

No, thats handled by the EMF Importer script which I don't have the code for. If I had the code I could try, but I don't so I can't.

Well its really just a max script, for 3ds max, i guess you can just edit the code in the .ms file because it's also a source file as a max script.

NVM It's encrypted as a .mse file, not .ms

I think there were for older versions of max, but the EMF script uses the newer encryption.

Unfortunately, no. I did add a LOD selection but it doesn't work at the moment. I also tweaked some other stuff I can't remember at the moment but nothing major. I've got my HSC for the next 2 months and the guy who was going to do sound has vanished...

Yes, vanished. He was there one day then gone the next, without him I can't do sound. The only things new after R2 are an overwrite toggle for batch extract, a non-working LOD selection and minor GUI tweaks. I tried to get the model viewer to work, but I can't see anything wrong with the code and it doesn't give any errors so I don't know why it won't work.
