Hello guys!
I recently saw a file in the "Misc. Halo Files" selection called "Halo 3 Medal icons (.ico)". I would like to know if it is possible to use these icons to make medal icons for Halo CE, like in the other Halo's. I have been looking around for a while but haven't seen any tutorial or even someone have such a mod on their Halo. If this is possible, could you please help me?
Thanks for answering,

Well I assume it'd be possible to script medals into a campaign. It should be possible. It'd probably be very hard though and it would have to be scripted into the campaign itself, it couldn't be a main menu tab. Edited by Jaz on Aug 12, 2011 at 02:28 PM

They aren't really possible/feasible idea's. You can get them to display, sure, but you can't let the script's now when you've gotten a head shot or have ended someone's killing spree. It could be possible with Open Suace though, but I don't know.

No, it isn't possible. Not even with scripting.

Quote: --- Original message by: mastur cheef what about OS? People need to stop throwing this idea at anything that isn't currently possible. I'm sure it could be done, but it's always about whether or not someone wants to take the time to implement it.

I haven't seen anything to save to file in OS, but if you don't care about keeping them, then you can sorta track headshots. Attach an object to their head, if it dies and you have a headshotable weapon, count to for you (and try to keep headshotable weapons away from other AI, etc) no OS required for that. Although OS does have a few commands you may like, go to http://code.google.com/p/open-sauce/wiki/Doc_Halo1_NewScriptInterfacesread about all the commands starting with 'player_data_get' See if someone has a killing spree, if they suddenly die, then see whose kill count went up, etc. and then the player_local_get to see if its you to show the thing. And no, I do not care about this, so I will not script it. I can explain it to you, but your the ones setting it up.

It is possible it just requires some programming effort either with OS or program it yourself. I mean if this can be done, then in game achievements are not far from it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAIG6bMc2yA
