So I made a tiny box with two shaders as a test map to see if I could get a map to work and export ingame. I got it into Sapien, it was all black of course, so I gave the scenario the bloodgulch.sky and ran radiosity. The numbers stayed at 0 0 0 and then I saved it. Still black. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Does your bsp have an object surrounding it with +sky material applied?

Oh ok, well no it doesn't. Here's a picture of the map ingame:

Ok so to fix this, I would just go into max, put a giant box around my map and call it "sky," or something and make it's bitmap a sky bitmap and boom. That't it?

Too apply the sky, create a box around the bsp, flip the faces and apply a material labeled +sky to it.

the bitmap size tool said when it completed the lightmaps, make a bitmap like that in paint, pure white, overwrite the lightmap bitmap. (gotta <3 being lazy)

There is nothing wrong with doing it either way.
