i am wondering if there are any important joints in the hand in halo im going for 2 on each finger at first but i thought i should ask 1 on the base and 1 in the middle cuz i kinda want my model to be pretty low poly where the dotted lines are where i started to get lazy, the program i use doenst make lines my hand model looks pretty much like that at the moment Edited by Wesker on Jul 25, 2011 at 07:16 PM

i know how to model but for halo's engine i want the polys to be pretty low i just want to know the best recommended considerable amounts of joints number and place whereas in the hand

There are no finger animations in third person for any of the character's animation graphs. For palyer models such as the master chief, the left hand is always in a cupped position and the right hand is in a closed position, so that they he looks like he is holding a gun. Import the cyborg gbxmodel for 3d references.

so its pretty much good as it is and just have 3 joints for the fp arms?

Fp arms will need five fingers. You can import the fp.gbxmodel to see how that is done.
