I was just wondering if Ifafudafi had ever released anything passed B40. Final version that is.

the mod wasn't popular enough or something.

I think he intended to only have up to B40. He mentioned somewhere about not wanting to do the flood levels or something.

yea i started playing all his missions from the start and as soon as i finished b40 i checked to see if there was more and couldn't find any :(, i was looking forward to seeing some massive updates to the weapons, i loved the br animations an was looking forward to an update of them along with the ar. :( i'd love to see more, and i wouldn't want to create them myself because i liked were he (or his team if ascm is a team) was going with the updates

A rare sight, indeed.

One of the main purposes to the mod was to get out some new particle effects, so really he didn't need to do any more levels.

oh... well that's a pity. It would've made a really awesome unique full campaign.

I never had any intention to go past AotCR. After b40 and the Flood levels, the HCE Campaign essentially repeats itself in reverse with the Flood added in; since ~85% of the content in HCE is found in the first half of the game, I did not consider it worthwhile to include its second half, unless the mod managed to achieve widespread popularity (which it did not.)

The two primary goals of ASCM were:
1. To completely rework the HCE weapon set with a more fast-paced, hard-hitting emphasis, introducing long-range combat and including as wide a variety of varied, unique, and useful weapons as possible

2. To update the aesthetic elements (particularly particle effects), adhering to the basic Halo "feel" but with an effort to make the various visuals, sounds, and effects consistent, cohesive, and polished.

I was able to achieve both of those ends as fully as I had hoped; going further would not have fulfilled those objectives any more than they already had been. Because the mod is open source, I invited people to transplant the work into the rest of the campaign if they so wished, but as far as I know, that has not been done yet.

Keep a close eye on the forums, though; I'm not certain yet, but if the stars align and all, I might have something else for you guys in the coming weeks.
