Taking a break

Well my Halo modding history goes like this:

The first time I ever played Halo 1 was when some friends in summer camp introduced me to Halo Trial.

I eventually found Halo PC, and bumped into a Halo PC Ai mod. And along with that of course, were all of those CE AI mods, at first I didn't want this "Custom Edition," game because I didn't want to have to spend more disk space. But then I got it, and realized that I wasn't limited to 2 AI mods anymore, but rather unlimited AI mods.

After a while I tried making an AI mod. Sapien didn't work, so I stopped. I stopped CE, came back a couple months later and tried modding again. This time I got Sapien to work. I played around with AI making cute AI mods for enjoyment. Then I thought, hey, maybe I will make one and release it: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=5641

At that point, I could put AI into a map, edit AI a wee bit in Guerilla, and I was attempting to make a firefight map by using something I had heard about called scripts. After reading tutorials that I had found, I had made a basic script, but it wouldn't work. One day on halomaps, I noticed for the first time that there was a "user forum," in the corner.

I hesitantly decided to make an account, I had never been on a forum before, but I made one. My first thread was about my short 5 line script. I was surprised to find that the next day someone had already told me that I needed to have a parentheses at the end of my script for it to work. :D

That's my history.

I don't post much but w/e here's my story. Person gave Halo:CE to friend, friend then gave me and other friends Halo:CE near the end of '10 (pirated, of course). Then it took me less than a month to find Halomaps (somehow through Google I believe). I saw the Forum tab but never bothered to take a look.

A month later I decided to look at the forums, and that's when I started to realize what Halo:CE was truly all about. Found out how much Halo pirates were looked down upon and made up my mind to buy it once I had enough money.

Most of my friends started to lose interest in Halo:CE. One friend took the road to Minecraft, while I took the road to Halo:CE.

I Bought Halo PC at the end of '09 so I could have a game to play on my new Acer Aspire One Netbook, XD So, while looking for some sort of no-cd available legally I came across Halomaps, and so, I became the greatest Halo CE modder on the face of this earth. /sarcasm

My dad wanted to buy a game to play for a while. He got halo pc but stopped playing after about a year. In 2005 I saw an ad somewhere for halo ce. Eventually I dloaded hugeass and that was my first map. I was inspired by the original cmt, tiamat, ender, jahrain, ghost and others to begin modding. After being recruited into the now nonexistentant DAS clan, I released 2 hugeass mods, one of which is still one of the highest rated maps on this site. Since then I have been experimenting with graphics, and have stayed out of the public eye...until now.
