so being the noob i am i was looking up tutorials on modeling FOR halo ce
searching with the keywords custom, how, to, halo, ce i found this video which claims that this is free and legal
would this be approved in this community?

my thoughts is that having a keygen is already a step in the illegal area
some people will resort to a keygen if they lose their key

Halo currently isn't for free.
Therefore, any copy of it that is obtainable for free is illegal, unless someone gives you their own legit copy.

the only thing i think is flawed with the term free is the key gen

I'd be fine with it except, well, the probably massive flow of free players crashed the servers. And the huge load of crying people.

The keygen isn't actually a keygen. A keygen is an application that generates fresh halo keys. The program shown in the video just displays used keys.

It doesn't really matter anyway. The pirate community has already came up with a stable and portable version of Halo CE 1.09 that supports multiplayer. Kinda explains the surge of pirates a few months ago...

LOL. I bought TF2 days before the new update making it free.

In the video it says that Halo: Custom Edition is free. It is. Just download it from here, doesn't cost you a penny.

But you must own a valid Halo: PC CD key in order to use Halo: Custom Edition. Halo: PC itself isn't free.

The video says
"You're going to have ot use a keygen, don't worry, the game is totally unsupported by bingie, it's legal! Download from the link, etc, etc..."

Simple answer, no.

Halo CE is a free unsupported upgrade for those who have purchased the Halo PC game. It is not totally free software. Using Key Gen software is a violation of the Halo PC copyright and ther Halo CE copyright. This guy in the video is shall I say...not speaking the truth.

i asked cuz i actually enjoy finding loop holes in systems(this isnt by my own i know u_u but i did saw the flaw involving a key gen) xD this i know is bad but this answers my question thank you guys
