well this noon, i was finishing the map with the commands

tool bitmaps
tool structure

when i finish with that part, i put the command "tool lightmaps" with the Q 0 0.9,the command take 3 hours to finish and say:

bitmap created: 256x256 high-color kbs
bitmap created: 256x256 high-color kbs
bitmap created: 256x256 high-color kbs
done

when i open the sapien with the map, the sky was white, i used a custom ground, then too i used a shader envoreiment, the ground is white.

I CANT SEE

Make shaders
You have to name your materials something in max

ok first of when you pick a material in max or whatever you use you need to name it the name or your texture for example if im useing "ground.tif" as a texture i would call it "ground"
and so on. then for the sky i would just color it blue and call it +sky, +sky tells the engine that it is the sky an will add it to it. if you do all that right the you go to gurrila an add the sky and what not, then lightmaps and then it might work if not you have done it wrong

@noble X6 yes lightmaps can take a while it's similar to radiosity in sapien it depends on map size etc and your pc.

when you do tool structure and it runs with no errors, if tool says shader?1-9
here you would press 1 and press 1 for everytime it asks about a shader.
now go to your halo custom edition tags folder and take the shaders files(they will be at the bott0m of the list in the tags folder)and paste these shader files in the shader folder which has the nameofyourmap_ground.shader_environment file.
now open guerilla click file/open then in the window that opens go to the shader files you just moved and edit each of them to have the path of the correct bitmaps which relate to the shader file.

start at the top and put a check mark in simple parameterization.
the scroll down to diffuse properties and click on the ... beside base map.
in the window that open go to the path of the bitmap for this shader
(for example if the shader was called shader\blood cliff rock.shader_environment then the bitmap you would add would be the blood cliff rock.tiff)
in primary detail map scale put 25
in secondary detail map scale put 25
etc etc it's all in ye old yap yap http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2198

edit: ha named something wrong
