Well go prove me wrong. Besides, I have 2 main reasons on why I don't expect ground sentinels. 1: They'd most likely be called something else. 2: Against the flood who have very little ranged attack, air units are the most efficient countermeasures. They can kill flood with MUCH less risk than any ground unit. Of course, someone could just go against this logic, and in a deliberate attempt to prove me wrong, make those shopping cart sentinels that spartan just mentioned.

The strato sentinel is basically a big sentinel used for making things. The HUGE sentinel type thing in the last picture is basically a big gun.

the geist hovers over the ground like a ghost but doesn't actually have the ability to float freely, so it's pretty close to a ground moving type sentinel
but the geist is covenant so.....

It could be possible, givin that the Covenant basically ripped off the Forerunner tech in almost all fields from weapons to vehicles and we know that the Covenant Scarab and Locus are legged vehicles I don't doubt that they had something similar to what higuy posted e.e. How effective these super legged tanks are unknown though.

Ok Here it is,
The Pacer- Ground Unit. Weight 235 pounds. Size 5 feet high 4 foot long. Shoots a Blue beam from main cannon. Hovers. Sleek chrome exterior like all other forerunner objects. speed 19 MPH. deflects all UNSC weapons. shaped like a sharp box that points near the end.
The Ample- Massive Grounded Turret. 360 degree aiming. 7 Feet 2 foot. Circular bend, resembles Shade Turets, but fully closed. Glowing Inside. Shoots off charged massive Beam rounds. Once again only explosives and Plasma are only good against it.
The Wayfarer- Humanoid Biped, weight 180 Pounds. has an actual weapon. Resembles Pictures of the Forerunners found on Onyx. 6'7 Tall. actually carries a beam rifle, and sword that also has the ability to shoot small beams. Moves fast, and has amazing agility.
Thats What I'll share, if you Like I'll post more

Hmm, to be honest, I can't imagine the forerunners creating something that walks like that. I mean, all of the robotics they left behind hover and fly. It doesn't seem like they would have built something that moves in such an in efficient way.

Before they had the technology to make the normal sentinels and other such flying things, they made ground vehivhles. eiter they didnt have the tech yet, the tech was unefficient or was to expensive. And they kept it because it still worked.

And, especially in regards to the asthetic design of their vehicles\weapons, It will be fairly difficult to replicate in a unit that moves on the ground.
