Every single released image of a Forerunner could easily be a human in a suit. Therefore, they are distinctly humanoid.

No. I took the Forerunner symbol for a 'Reclaimer', which Bungie made the same as the Marathon Symbol, then I topped it with the symbol with the mysterious symbol found on the book Ghosts of Onyx and numerous other Halo sources. I affiliate it with shield worlds in this case. The symbols are symbolically referential to the storyline of the custom campaign.

FTFY. and yes, Humans are the desendants of the forerunners. If you read Contact harvest you would remember that the reason the Covenant attacked and almost destroyed the human race in the first place was to cover up the truth about humans being forerunner. This fact contradicted their religion, and the prophets ordered the destruction of mankind in order to keep the Covenant in tact.

Also, what TCK said a couple times, both Guilty spark and the Arbiter refer to MC as forerunner.

Well, that contradicts what other people have said on the forums, but I'll go with it. I was under the impression that this was not the case, and that the Covenant simply believed that they were the true Reclaimers and that the humans were pretenders who spread filth throughout the galaxy. In any case, was referring to the symbol criticism, which was wrong, not the humanoid likeness of Forerunners in the quote above. Could you please edit to give a related quote?

I'll be happy to agree with TCK and Spartan 279, seeing as they are experienced members. I make many uneducated assumptions when discussing seldom explained portions of fictional canon, you see. Also, where did you get the number -35 from Bobblehob lol? I was right and HIHAG was wrong, if you actually read the quote. :P

The forerunners topic really is ridiculously complex for example apparently there was a prehistoric humanity that became as advanced as the forerunners by reaching tier 1 tech but the forerunners saw the humans as too violent and warlike so they devolved them.

I've never heard of that, but I do know the Precursors (who were like the Forerunners to the Forerunners) were supposed to have eventually turned into pure energy and they had the highest technology of all.

I remember reading about them. So powerful they could create entire galaxies, not just planets. Or something like that.

Yeah I've also heard that and In reach there are datapads that talk about some type of group that I think are either AI's or precursors I personally thinks its the precursors.

As for the Forerunners, yes, they fought a huge battle against the humans (who shared a relationship with the San'Shyuum [Prophets]), but the humans ended up losing because they were also fighting the Flood. The Forerunners didn't believe their story about the Flood, and de-evolved them.

As for the Precursor...the true revelation of what happened to them is at the end of Halo: Cryptum, and I won't spoil it for any of you.

Do elites count as humanoid? if yes, forerunners do. Otherwise maybe, or no. Anyway they had 6 fingers.

Elite's have 2 finger's and 2 thumbs.
