So I have a pretty big monitor (1920x1080) and I want to play hce at its best resolution. So:
1. Whenever I try to change the resolution in the settings, the resolution stays the same, even though it says it is different.
2. Also, if I do get this resolution problem fixed, is there some way to increase the resolution from 1600x1200? That is the highest I can choose in the settings.
Sorry if I am ignorant about some of the things I am asking about. Thanks.

Open the Halo Icon Shortcut
Add -vidmode 1920,1080,60

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -devmode -console -vidmode 1920,1080,60

So I pasted that exact line into the target of the properties, but there isn't any change. I have the map manager v4 by Travis and it can run halo ce with selectable commands(like -console, -devmode, etc.) and when I do the same thing with this, the game isn't in full screen and I can't maximize it.

Did you download all your drivers (i.e. graphics card drivers, monitor drivers)?

You mean electricity and his CPU, PSU, RAM, GFX Card, and some wires? Yes, he has them.

Get graphical drivers, they update your graphic card "version" to the latest one with bug fixes.
We need to know what graphix card you haz first.

Start:Run>dxdiag

Click yes if it's asking you to connect to internet or something like that.

Go to the third tab at the top, and look at your graphix card name (ATI Radeon, Nvidia, Intel) and be sure to include the numbers at the end. For me, I have an ATI Radeon HD 5670.

Drivers are shown on the Nvidia website. Remember to select your region, as some drivers are region-specific. ;)
