okay so im going to try my hand at something ive never done before; (in the halo engine) modeling. can somebody provide what they deem the best tutorials on ho to model a bsp or level? and also which is better gmax or 3ds max? (also which will be easier to use?) i have no problem drawing out ideas in my head its translating them into bsp's that i have trouble with so any help would be appreciated. thanks, roviet

use 3ds max it's alot better, but you still need to learn it.

As for modeling I think the best method is just practicing, then when you start to get the what if's or how to's look up some tutorials and then apply what you learned again on the same project but from scratch...eventually you get better and better...

yes you can de compile structure_bsp's in the maps file to the widely used format .obj and import them to gmax or 3ds max.

Look in the utilites section for bsp converter by jahrain and firescythe
