This is a unfinished Armor Lock for CE, Whoever can finish it will be given proper credit when used in maps.

Credit for this unfinished version: Kirby422

Bugs:
-You can walk on walls when hitting a wall at a certain point.
-Rockets dont deflect when shot at.
-Fist doesnt punch the ground, just a normal crouch animiation when used.
-Sometimes randomly launches you in the air.

The scripts are lazy, disorganized, and repeating the same things like 5 times.
If somebody does end up finishing/Fixing it post it here please.

Contents:
-Unprotected bloodgulch map thats MP With spawnable AI to test the Armor Lock ("object_create_anew_containing a" and "ai_place test" are the AI And some ghost's for the AI to drive)
-Scripts for SP (About 12 thousand lines of script code in the map itself)
-Works for ALL Weapons, press flashlight to activate while in-game.

I really hope somebody fixes this version of Armor Lock, I would very much be pleased to play on a map that has a finished version.

Just tried it. It does happen to exception if you use the armor lock for an extended period of time. That's all of the errors I could find.

LOL No need to go crazy, proper credit goes to Kirby422, and kirby, sorry for the constant nagging to get it done lol, hope you get feeling better kirby. (Kirby has been sick for a awhile)

if you where going to post my download link I gave you into the forums, you should of quoted the actual lines I directly you, and make correct connections instead of assuming that what I said was directed at that, and rewriting it as so.

Its not that you walk on the walls, its that the armor lock sticks to it (including +sky materials lol)

The rocket reflect, for all I know is reflecting it at your feet. I told it to reflect when hitting the material its made out of, but ive never once seen a rocket fly away.

not punching the ground isnt a bug, its me being lazy.

The launching in the air was my other test map where I had high explosions, it was a bug caused by the tags in that map, not the lock itself.

the 12 thosand lines of code was the old version, that halo for some reason didn't like doing math on, and I scrapped. the only differance between the two scripts is the one time you wanted them to be holding some random 'becon' weapon, and one for just flashlight.

Video I made this morning. the two SP vehicles over there are named test1 and test2, the lock vehicle is p0lock. The rocket encounter is called test (probably want to use ai_kill so you can get away from the buggers, or atleast spawn a1,a2,a3......a10 to distract them) AI ghosts are labeled a1-a10.

what in the world had that much explosive power? I removed the stupid broken explosives, rawr (lol, mah magical tag folder filled with all kinds of old tests of things I never fixed up, and end up seeping into all my other maps)

I kinda jumped on top of a warthog, jumped again, armor lock, comes down, come up, pendulum flying thing, come down. XD

I dont know, I'll ask Kirby when he gets online. In the mean time, somebody can try and fix this if they want. Just give Kirby credit. And post the link here if it gets finished.

lol i armor locked on top on the dead tree next to the red base and i fell spinning and when up again spinning and i died. i wish i recorded it

Its most likely the fact halo doesn't like creating and destroying objects over and over again (it does sometimes crash if you do that. if its not that, then idk what you guys are experiencing) if its that, basically instead of destroying it, replace all the object_destroy with object_teleport, and then just drop the object_create's, etc.


Also, it has 3 levels of effects for how long you use it (energy release, etc) I was lazy, and all 3 are currently identical. Do what ever you want to em, ive never played reach, so I have no clue how this thing is even meant to be like in the first place lol (great words coming from the person who set it up).

Also, for lawlz, turn on super jump, spawn the ghost ai, and bombard them from the skies with it; was doing that last night for lawlz. it aparently even stops falling damage from hurting the player even though its the vehicle itself providing the protection and not any script lol.

Nice work Kirby. Reminds me of the good days (before I was here) where people actually did stuff. Just curious, does the bug where armor lock causes the player to stick to objects occur in Reach as well?

Sean. Did you use my idea of making an effect that does a ton of downward force so it shoves you down?. And if you did you made it so it shoves vehicles/players away. This makes it so no player can get in close enough range for the EMP to take out their shields. I can easily fix this but i thought you should know

EDIT: and the animation doesn't look right. I mean it's not bad but it's not really ground pound. I can fix this for mine two. Its just for me
