Can gmax import .3ds or .obj?

I tried importing .3ds once and it gave me a compatibility error.

Gmax can import .3ds, but not .obj sadly.

Google for maxscripts, I know I use some kind of obj importer... Chris Cookson I believe.

Alright, cool. I looked around on this site and found some maxscripts. Figured out how to use them (not too hard :P). So I was able to import .obj, .gbxmodel, and by default you can import .3ds apparently. I'm a happy camper.
