Whenever I start my Valhalla WIP in CTF mode, halo exceptions! I've set up ctf spawns and flags before, but I don't know what's up. Anything weird I'm forgetting? The proper way to set up a ctf gametype?

I know you said you've set up a CTF gametype before, but here's just a little refresher:

Mission
->Game Data
-->Netgame Flags

Right-Click the area you want to place the Red Team flag, and a see-through diamond with X-Y axis arrows should pop up.

In the Properties Palette window, the drop-down menu should already have CTF - Flag selected.

In Team Index, it should say 0 (Red Team). Keep it that way.

Go over to the Blue Base, and do exactly the same thing, but for Team Index, input 1 (Blue Team).

Compile, and finish. Have fun in CTF!

Maybe reinstallation would work. The way I showed you is foolproof and always works for me.

Your scenario still opens in sapien fine?
You edited anything about the flag its self?
Is there any vehicles, weapons, powerups, etc. that are set to spawn on CTF but not on other gametypes?

Yeah, there were. Any grenades in the starting equipment causes halo to exception.
CTF crashing problem solved-- but I would still like to have grenades in the starting equipment.

LOL. i was going to say about nades, but i presumed you would know that.
Nades are controlled in the grenades section of globals/globals.

Yeah, I remember setting starting grenades to eight in my earlier maps...lol.

I'd like to have CTF-only grenades. Seems like that won't happen.

Well, you can always set the grenade count to zero for the map in globals.globals and make a gametype that has unlimited nades in CTF ingame...

But that's just my idea.
