i dont know how to get more tags for bloodgulch ive tried everything if anyone could post a video or something to show me that would be a massive help

basically you need to go find the tags,wether that be from getting the individual tags,
or finding an unprotected map that has them.

extract bloodgulch again and any other map you got tags from because i see that your missing a battle rifle and that doesn't come with bloodgulch

I also dowloaded relic-h2 with assult rifles and stuff from h2 it tells me theres no sound to the map and every time i pick up a h2 weapon it makes a loud jumbled sound and im also new to this stuff thats why i get confused.

the no background sound thing doesn't matter and the gun probably makes that sound because the person who made it was lazy and din't fix the corrupt sound

i tried extracting it nothing same thing freezes up only for bloodgulch no other map!

Delete all the BG tags files. ALL of them. Then re-rip it clean from either PC or CE (preferably PC, as there should be less chance of corruption), and then rip a GOOD map, not the bullcrap you appear to be ripping currently. Hell, rip some of the stuff from my old maps for starters, then work your way up.

NOTE: My oldest map is over two years old, but it's a start for a young ripper like yourself.

EDIT: I forgot to mention to delete all of your .weapon and .item_collection tags and re-rip them clean. Again, my older maps would be a great start for someone like you.

Essentially, start fresh and try again.

Thanks guys ally im not realy modding maps right now i just trying to ushey um i deleted all weapons and item collections i dowloaded bloodgulch off HM.org extracted to desktop draged to maps then open on hek+ open up bloodgulch drag tags into tag extractor ticked all boxes in tag extractor then i extract half way i get this messege

Thats been the problem all the time it always something with the bitmap please someone have a solution for this!e bloodgulch

Shut down any open programs or file locations (like My Computer or My Documents) and try again. Also, you don't need to check all the boxes - say if you're ripping more than one map at a time, that'll just be tedious. Just uncheck the box underneath the list there and hit start.

Plus, if you wanted to look up my stuff, all you had to do was search my name on HaloMaps...

Just reinstall HEK first, you messed up way too far.

If you don't want the old crap, just go straight for the latest maps I uploaded to HaloMaps (b40-arena-v2, The_Library would be your best bets). If you DO want the old crap...then download whatever, lol.

Do a complete fresh install. This means uninstalling Halo CE and all affiliated programs, maps and tags. After uninstalling, reinstall everything. This should fix the problem, and rip ALL of Halo PC's maps first before anything else. This ensures a clean boot when starting up sapien.

Also, don't forget to set sapien, guerilla and HEK+ to run as admin.

TY SOO MUC CHIEF U FIXED all my multiplayer maps work! but theres 1 problem i deleted my halo PC bloodgulch map to get it back do i have to reinstall halo pc?

When you insert the Halo PC disk, click on Uninstall (yes, I know, sounds counter-productive, just gimme a sec to explain), and after it will ask you if you want to reinstall or uninstall. Click reinstall. It should then ask you if you want to replace corrupted files. Click yes. Everything that is missing/corrupted will be reinstalled.

Okay, considering I actually made AI tags to use MC bipeds (and I'm sure everyone else has as well, lol), here's how you proceed to convert a Marine actor into a Spartan actor:

1) Rip the biped you want.

2) Open Guerilla.

3) Open the biped's folder (in this example, tags/characters/cyborg [this is the standard Halo 1 MC] - this is for future reference so you don't have to keep opening folders to find where your biped is).

4) Open an .actor file (in this example, tags/characters/marine/marine.actor).

5) In the second box menu, deselect "panic in groups" (unless you want the biped to do so, like the marines).

6) In the drop-down menu just below, select "player".

7) Save As cyborg.actor in the tags/characters/cyborg folder.

8) Open the "marine assault rifle.actor_variant" file.

9) In "actor definition", browse for and select the newly-created cyborg.actor tag, then click open.

10) In "unit", keep "biped" in the drop-down, and replace the characters/marine/marine biped with the characters/cyborg/cyborg biped.

11) Under "major variant", clear the box, unless you plan on making one.

12) For "Ranged Combat", select the weapon you plan on having your AI use (in this case, an Assault Rifle).

13) Save As cyborg.actor_variant in the tags/characters/cyborg folder.

14) Insert your new AI into Sapien, compile, and enjoy!

Please note that you are supposed to SAVE AS, not directly save, because this will override any previous info on the marine.actor/.actor_variant files and Sapien will think that they are corrupt.

Also note that you need to place firing positions when placing AI, otherwise they'll just stand there and do nothing.
