ok so i found a few videos on youtube and doing this but i am having problems in mine that they did not. like alot of static sound and missing strings and other things. as well as not being able to use things like cheat_bottomless_clip1 that just says it can not be used. please anyone help me figure out what i am doing wrong.

We would have to know what you are doing or want to do to be able to figure out what you are doing incorrectly. Please clarify what it is that you want to accomplish.

ok here is the video i have found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGf-YmXH4-Q in the drop down thing i forget the name. but there is links there. i have downloaded each one. thats the ui, and all the map files. and i put things in the right places based on the info i found here on this site. and i would like to be able to make the codes on this site http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/291594-halo-combat-evolved/cheats work for me. but all i am getting is static sounds and captions of like use to accept or to change. and all the controls show missing string. so i would like to be able to cheat since i have beaten this game over and over ,would like to play around, i would also like it to be smooth and error free. so im not sure what i must do.

as for playing the actual thing it works, its just alot of static and maybe its the maps i got i dont know. i got the ones from "cmt" as for the ones on that first link the screen was all dark and i couldnt see anything. and when i put -devmode it crashed my game.
