I am taking metal shop during my senior year, and I am making a BBQ trailer, based on these images, what do you suggest I add to it when I am done? so far going on it: -Deepfryer + Jerrycan for corn oil -Firebox -Wheel-stand for neck -temp gauge (The top is outside and the grates for the meat are still being made). PICTURES: (2 months ago) (2 weeks ago) Yeah, I'm a beginner welder, only been welding for a month now. But any ideas? I have a short budget, but wanted ideas. (its not finished btw, its got about another months of work needed).

Your welding is D:
Nothing you can't fix though, get a grinder and grind down those extra welds to be flat and nice looking. Make sure to make it still strong though (hit it with a big metal hammer hard). I had to make a table a while ago and I had to weld a few things to it. Since the table would be supporting large motors and parts, I put extra passes on the welds to make them a bit thicker and stronger.
Oh and obviously, your going to want to sand down all the rust on it.
It may also be a good idea to add a few supports on the trailers main beam to the side to da belly of the fryer. Edited by Higuy on Feb 18, 2011 at 03:06 PM

Edited by Higuy on Feb 18, 2011 at 03:06 PM the welds are strong, we took a mallet to them a few times and it shook the entire trailer, the rust is fine, deal with it later, and the fryer is going to be inside the tank
