The point being he was never arguing with you in the first place, but...I think at this point uninstalling an update is implausible, not to mention impossible. Also jack, I don't see how the xbox is comparable to the mac in any way, the former is for flashyness and to show your friends "Oh hey, I got a mac, I'm cooler than you." Whereas an xbox is some grandeus moneymaking scheme by Microsoft.

Your update was not a required update as mine was. (yes querty, he DID read the thread obviously) The whole point of my posting was about the fact it was a required update and even when I rolled back it would update itself at a scheduled time. Ok, I can see you were trying to help, but when I saw it I saw that that could not help my question.

My only quarrel was that you said win 7 was the mistake when in fact Microsoft publicly apologized for vista, not win 7, and even said themselves that vista was a mistake.
Why would I NOT defend my OS when it is being blasphemed to hell?

i wasn't comparing xbox to MAC i was saying that MAC computers are good and that xbox was slightly better than PlayStation solely because Microsoft won't share halo.

that was one of the funniest things i ever saw.

Just buggy and unstable from I can remember, Widows 7 is much better.

Actually it is compatible with photoshop. it is compatible with everything. When the Art Block computer lab had Vista, photoshop kept crashing and in the end i got a C+ for my assignment. Also with your problem about the loading time it is probably the peek hour for the network as lots of people are online. If you go to the library at 7:30 am and log on it will only take 2 mins to load. So there!!!!!!! So your complaning about Windows 7 it is stupid. Just accept that Vista sucks. I might as well say that i liked Windows 98 when it was around.

no some did have vista. And Inventor did respond but the problem was the icon wasn't set up on the computer. Also is Vista compatible with Win 98 games? no. Is Win 7? YES!!! Also does Win Vista have speed? no. Does Win 7? YES!!! Also is Halo quicker on Vista or Win 7? WINDOWS 7!!! Also does Vista have a spasm and blow up a hard drive? Yes (past experience with my sister). Does Win 7? NO!!!!!! So what is your next blow against Windows 7 Qwertyuiop (You can't just say it is stupid, retarded ect. without proof)?

That ski-doo racing does count. VISTA FAILED!!!!!! WINDOWS 7 DIDN'T!!!! And Halo worked with mine. It could be his graphics card wasn't very good (manufactures fault not Windows 7). Also what can Vista do that Windows 7 can't do better?

And just to get on topic, have you run System File Checker? Its a windows built-in utility that checks system files for corruption and all that kind of stuff.
All you need to do is start an elevated command prompt (ie. run cmd as admin) and in the cmd type "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes).

And install Secunia PSI, it checks for outdated software on your computer, including zombie installations, very thoroughly.
I installed the latest version of Shockwave player, and didn't know that my computer was still using the outdated version of Shockwave player until I used Secunia PSI.
(lesson learnt: always uninstall any outdated Flash player before you install a new one)

Just download it, scan your PC with it and follow any instructions it tells you to take.

If the above doesn't work, and you have already scanned your PC with the latest AV software and latest signature updates......you may as well reinstall Windows.

I had already tried that actually.
I am fully up and running now anyway. I reinstalled. Here's what my problem was. When I reinstalled, I backed up but I forgot to format my drive before I installed to I had an extra folder on my computer called "old windows" which contained certain system files from my last install. I think, even though I would think these would be contained, they must've messed me up somehow. This time I did a clean install and so we'll see how it all goes.

Yeah I am surprised he hasn't locked it as well. Perhaps he is finding humor in this because someone ACTUALLY, TRULY seems to believe that vista is better than Windows 7 when even Microsoft apologized for vista which was the whole reason they actually made windows 7. What other reason would prompt them to have an OS come out that quickly please tell?

Yeah. Neither can I really. Also, I am surprised I didn't notice what the problem was a while ago. I'm wondering if it was making any programs conflict.

If you want to play the "I can think of a few instances where computer technology has failed" game, you really must know nothing about computers whatsoever. If one OS or any program was perfect there wouldn't be such things as technical forums anywhere you retard. You know what, I really don't care. Enjoy your product that you seem to be having no trouble with. All we are is one freaking statistic and your and my opinions mean jack crap. I don't have to try and backup what is better. I'll let public polls and reviews do that.

Dennis just lock this. It's just another crappy Vista vs Win7 argument and is not going to be resolved no matter what anyway.

I was just responding to an ignorant non-computer-educated fool who started with saying that Windows 7 was a created wrong, and "I'm running vista. Which doesn't suck like 7 does", was proven wrong by a few people, and tries to say that because I am having an issue now and because his friend was also having an issue that Windows 7 was a failure because we all know that one or two people's issues are the voice of the world obviously.
