you havnt named you materials correctly in the material editor.
recheck the names in the material editor from when you added your textures.

you did the water plane wrong somehow or
you have a sphere in the model or
you have used turbosmooth/meshsmooth and something is too rounded.

I didn't do the water plane. Sphere in the model... No... Too rounded... Hmmm.. I have no clue what it is? Could I send someone my map for 3ds max and could someone pin point the problem?

Did you use the turbosmooth or meshsmooth modifiers?

I don't think I used turbo smooth or anything. The map isn't big at all: http://www.mediafire.com/?txj039395arvwcu

im no super mapper but i will take a look at it as well

okay i can't load the file in max9,i only saw a picture of it,the frame is almost bigger than the map.
if someone can help fix your map then excellant but you should also make the frame a lot smaller.
goodluck.

I know. I made the frame smaller but I still get the error. But I made it in 3ds max 2010 not 2009 so that is probably why you couldn't open it.

ok, i had a look at the model, i could not see anything obvious.
Maybe try making a couple edges on the top edge of the cliff faces, where the corners are.
If that does not fix it.
Convert to poly, delete the sky faces, use border selection, select the border where sky was, shift drag up new sky faces, "cap" the top.

Or if you would like to learn how to make a better map you could add me on xfire.
