What is your favorite Halo cutscene of all time? It can be from any game in the series. Mine is from Halo Combat Evolved during 343 Guilty Spark, when Masterchief looks at Private Jeinkins' video log.

Johnson: Jeinkins! Fire your weapon!
Jeinkins: There's too many sir!

I like the one where the longswords assault the Forerunner Artifact.

The end of Floodgate --> Ark Opening is also nice.

I like that cutscene... in SPV2... where he throws the guy into the pod and if you keep hitting enter you get this...

The drop on Delta Halo, always gave me goosebumps when Sgt Johnson knocked on MC's droppod door. And then the breath-taking drop itself, with the chaos on the ground. Beautiful.
Best. Scene. Ever. Especially if viewed on other difficulties - the Grunt playing with dirt/fire/dolls (Easy/Normal, Heroic and Legendary, respectfully) >XD

Ending cutscene of Uplift Reserve from ODST. Dutch had some of the best lines in that game.

Halo 1's legendary ending. It indicates that Johnson in all the other halo games is actually a lie just like the cake.

Yeah those were nice, and the one in Reach where Emile dies and Noble Six makes the decision that he will stay behind and die, and Keyes knows his determination can't be spoken out of.
Also the one in D10 when Chief is teleported into the TaR upside down, and appears to hover for a few seconds while the camera flips right.

Favorite Cutscene is probably either the unfortunate accident concerning Kat and a needle rifle, or the middle cutscene of 343 Guilty Spark.

My favourite definitely has to be the one in Halo Reach: Tip Of The Spear Opening.

For a series of reasons:

1. It's animated on an epic scale (tons of vehicles, wraith mortars, blowing up of the "birthday cake"...)

2. Great speech. I like it as how someone in a Falcon yells down to someone in the warthog.

3. I just felt that it really brought out the feelings in the campaign. For example, you start off with a massive invasion force, all full of confidence, ready to kick Covenant a**. The sense of UNSC bondedness and sacrifism is really there.

I would have to say that my favorite cutscene in the Halo series is when the Chief is taking the cable to get into the Forerunner ship. The way he flies in just as the beam cuts off and the door closes coupled with the fluidness of the motion really makes it a fun scene to watch.

My favorite cutscene is probably from Halo 2 the "A Day at the Beach" cutscene. Its cool to see that ODST's can be badasses too and not just slightly better cannon fodder XD. Plus the end of the cutscene where the elite gets pwnd is hilarious. Helljumpers FTW.

that was probably one of the best cutscenes in the series, ironically not an actual in-game cutscene. most of the cutscenes in Halo 2 were extremely bland and dull, it's like avoiding any sort of interesting action in the cutscenes is somewhere in their formula.

They may have lacked action, but Halo 2's cutscenes do have good script. The start of Metropolis on either Normal or Heroic is pretty funny.
Sgt. Johnson: When I joined the core, we didn't have any fancy shmancy tanks. We had sticks! Two sticks, and a rock. And we had to share the rock!

not an actual in-game cutscene.

Oh yeah the Tip of the Spear Opening was pretty nice because of the huge scale of the battle, and also the bunch of failures in the hog crashing onto the edge and slipping into the huge ravine.

Odst had some beast cutscenes.

Uplift Reserve ending where dutch flew his hog into the city
Kizingo Boulevard, the scorpion one, where the wraith fires at Mickey, he dodges and gets hit in the head with some debris
Nmpd Hq the start and end cutscene were just awesome
The end cutscene of the mission on the rooftops where Romeo gets owned by a brute
Kikowani Station the end cutscene where Buck (in the banshee) and everyone else in the phantom escaped the city then went back in

"All I need to know is: Did you make it?"
"I think we both know the answer to that."

At the end of reach, so epic.

Halo 1's opening, Halo Reach's ending are the best cutscenes in halo.

I think my favorite in ODST is the scene where Dare punches Buck in the face.
Then they kiss, for some reason.
I just like the how the camera just switches to the Rookie and Vergil and they are just watching them, probably thinking 'What are you doing?'

Now that I think about it, Lumoria Episode 2's opening is pretty fantastic.

Great cutscene, love his confidence. I reckon halo 5's plot will be Johnson coming back and killing Didact, because there's only room for one unkillable character in the franchise.

It was pretty good, but not Robin dropping her panties so hard they land in China good. There were some issues, especially in the betas, where the wraith would miss the Pelican. However, the military opening was pretty amazing :3 I don't care what anyone else says, I think it was bloody excellent. Reminded me of the Halo CE opening cutscene, except with more Lumoria and slightly better camera work.

My favourite cutscene was in ODST at the end of Tayari Plaza.
The mystery of Buck's missing squad was conveyed so well in that one.
