Is anyone up to the task of creating this Armored Personnel Carrier from the movie "Aliens"?

Here is a good modeling link for a plastic model kit for the vehicle:

The UNSC marines should have had something like the APC...so much in Halo reminds me of the colonial marines in Aliens, such as their dropships:

or their colonial marine Conestoga-Class Starship Sulaco:

or the marine armor:

The gentleman that invented the modern day FPS, Mr John Carmack, said that he was influenced by two movies which pushed him to create the FPS.

One of those movies was The Evil Dead 2; Ash with Shotgun in one hand, Chainsaw replacing the other.

While the second movie was Aliens (Alien 2). There is a scene near the end (when everything is blowing up and Ripley is trying to escape) where she attaches a Flamethrower to her Rifle and then the camera goes into a perspective much like First Person where we see her weapons firing as we look down the barrel.

In other words, Alien gave way to Wolf/Doom and all other FPS that followed.

Also, Halo borrows heavily from the Doom and especially the Quake series. Space Marines, Grav Lifts, all that. Too bad they cut the gibs. I miss me some gibs.

The APC should load marines like the Pelican, and fire the turret similar to the Scorpion. After loading the access door should close completely. When unloading, the door should open and the marines pile out.

Take a look at these vids:

Just an interesting tidbit...Aliens is set in the year 2159. Unfortunately, at the pace our current "civilian" space program is moving at, it should probably be pushed out another 100 years! I am not sure as to where our "military" space program is at since they keep all those details behind closed doors...

This, and that flying vehicle, would be so badass if put into this game.
