greetz i have a major problem.

i have downloaded the cmt maps (single player with new guns and grafix) but when i run the code:
maps_name a30 (or any other map name it loads the freezez before i can see the map.

my system specs are:

pentium 4 2ghz

nvidia 5200 fx 256mb grafix memory

656mb RAM

233GB hard disk memory

(normal hce maps load {even the CMT bloodgulch} and the normal halo single and multiplayer)

whats the problem?

i have set the grafix from high to low but they still dont start.

please help me

well firstly its map_name not maps_name and after you press enter after map_name push enter again so the pink word 'halo' goes away

well maps_name was just a typo.

and ive tried that but it still freezes

are you pressing ~ to turn console back off before you try to play the map?

no, i just use enter
but it still doesnt start

you have to press the ~ ( tilde<console key) to make it go away,
other wise your map will freeze.
try it out...type your maps name in console then after you press enter press
the ~(tilde console key)

edit..other wise the pink halo text will stay there

well im now on a other pc where it does work, but it doesnt freez when i use enter

well im now on a pc where it always works even when i use enter instead of ~

but this pc is better then the other and it has win 7 while the pc where it doesnt work is XP

is it possible that its becouse my pc specs of my other one or that it has xp?
(the specs of my other one where it doesnt work are at the top)

im not to sure why it's not working on your xp pc,cause your main maps are all working fine.
recheck and make sure it wasn't just a typo mistake and that the console button was
deactivate when you tried the maps on your xp pc.im on xp and i always have to press ~ to disable the console before playing a single player map.

could u try 2 use enter for me then,?

you use enter to enter the command of starting the map.
~(console enabled)map_name name of the map press enter press ~ (console off)

wait- since when was that part neccesary?

i always do it other wise my HALO console stays on screen,
i have a feeling something ain't quite right :S

Specs according to Xfire. I set my graphics to low as well, and the CMT SP maps boot fine. Console also works fine (I hit enter after entering the map_name cmd). Maybe the maps are corrupted in some way, shape or form? And have you tried a UI that allows you to start a new game (similar to Halo PC)?

well i have a custom UI i have Halo 3 UI,

i might know what the problem is, i have downloaded the maps then ive put them on a CD, then when ive put them on m other pc they dont work. that might be becouse my other pc has a 6 years old cd/dvd drive and always make wierd noises and even stops working when i try to burn something (sometimes)

Yes, that could be the issue. Try redownloading the maps and see if that works.

I got a problem with CMT maps i start the level a get to somewhere then i just frezzes and can't go on i try task manager,alt+tab,alt+F4 still dosen't i don't know why here are my specs

3.01 gb procesor i7
3 gb ram
Ati Saphire 9800 or 8900 (duno)

the game didin't frezze on the 1 and 2 level

at first i thing you mean 3.1 GHZ processor i7,

ur specs are not the problem as well,

maybe one of your maps is corrupt.

but the hce maps (sp) ahev a wierd kind of checkpointing: when you jump over a loading point it wont load and ur game might freez due to missing mapdata.
