I could've sworn it was very hard, but not impossible, and you had to do it in 3ds.

Recorded animations are built-in to the scenario and need to be imported through sapien. The one's made in 3ds max are custom animations, which are the ones that you can create yourself.

Recorded Animations are impossible, and would be so freaking useful if they were ever unlocked.
This is basically what they did:
You took control of a biped, vehicle, whatever, did an action with it ingame and it was recorded.
So I could fly a pelican from point a to point b, record it, and then put it in my map for use.
Quite disappointing.
