Since I have seen many people asking for links to different things here is a (in-complete as of yet) list of popular links.

Current 3ds MAX trial (for USA and Canada): http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/item?id=15671248&siteID=123112
3dsMAX is a very nice somewhat user friendly 3d editing program.

Older 3ds MAX trials can be found here: http://files.modacity.net/software/3dsmax/
3dsMAX is a very nice somewhat user friendly 3d editing program.

GMAX can be found here: http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
GMAX is similar to 3ds MAX except that GMAX is free. However it IS an old program and may not do as much as newer versions of 3ds MAX.

Many many tutorials: http://ghost.halomaps.org/tutorials/
This site has a LONG list of useful tutorials ranging from 3d editing to creating a map file.

3dsMAX animation importer: http://ghost.halomaps.org/bluestreak/animation/
Use this with the GBXmodel importer.

3dsMAX GBXmodel importer: http://ghost.halomaps.org/bluestreak/gbxmodel/
For importing straight up GBXmodel files.

3dsMAX .jms file exporter: http://ghost.halomaps.org/bluestreak/jms/
Used for exporting 3d files to a .jms file for running through tool.

Halo Custom Edition map sources:
http://www.filefront.com/search_results.php?terms=Halo+custom+edition&type=2
http://hce.halomaps.org/
You can find map's in these these places.

Best forum page ever: http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=search
Use this before posting problems. Most likely your problem has already happened to some else and they have solved it.

Photoshop's site (image editing program): http://tryit.adobe.com/us/photoshopfamily/?sdid=IBFJS
Photoshop is a very nice picture editing program.

GIMP's official site (free image editing program): http://www.gimp.org/
GIMP is like a free version of Photoshop. Most all photo shop tutorials will work with GIMP as they are basically the same program.

Imageshack: http://imageshack.us/
Great place for uploading photos when you are in a hurry.

If anyone has more useful link's feel free to share them.

Regards:
Skidrow
