Consider modeling some New Mombasa streets. You can do some texturing, right?
I know someone who would greatly appreciate a good and linear sp bsp for an ODST project.

Than an urban map would be a good place to start. Human architecture is linear and easy to model (talking standard human architecture, not Halo Reach architecture). Old Mombassa's streets (like the level Outskirts from Halo 2) are simple and easy to model, even for beginners. Start there first for BSP modeling.
