I looked in the CMT tagset, and I noticed 2 bipeds. One was called a Geist. I can't get it ingame, so I looked at the model in 3ds. It appears to be a bug type organism encased in an egg shaped cucoon. The other was called a flentinel. What purpose did they serve?

They are the Covenant and Flood versions of the sentinel, respectively. The ones on halomaps are corrupted.

I'm pretty sure its just a model permutation. Personally, I would rather see the geist.
