Bungie should release Halo 3 PC soon. Why not? Now that Reach is here, they should put Halo 3 PC out. Although they should do improvements for it the way they did for Halo 2 Vista, such as adding new maps. I don't know how forge would work out. I think they should put in a HEK for H3, with a similar feel to the HCE HEK so that way HCE modders would have an easier time jumping right into Halo 3 PC. Also they should include the firefight in Halo 3 PC, which apparently they were going to include firefight in Halo 3 XBOX, but they ran out of time and put it in ODST instead. But don't you think they should release a Halo 3 PC now that Reach is out? (I'm pretty sure Halo 3 can run on a PC if Modern Warfare 2 can).

It's just much too late to put out Halo 3 for PC. If anything, they need to port Reach especially since the Bloom and slower-paced gameplay would be perfect for a cross-console experience.

But will they probably ever do that?...No

I think after the failure that was Halo 2 Vista, Bungie and Microsoft lost interest in porting halo to the PC.

which is seriously effed up, because H2v failed so much because Bungie themselves made the worst port in gaming history. 3 years after the original game, missing coop campaign, added a half-assed mapmaker and 2 new crappy maps, and none of the countless glitches of the original were fixed. and for the most disappointing and performance wasting OS microsoft ever made, and they expected that to sell.

The two new maps were/are actually good maps, especially District.

Also, they removed super-bouncing; the worst glitch in Halo 2 (Xbox) period.

...get your horribly ignorance out of here.

Bungie had almost nothing to do with the port, it was all done by a company called "Hired Gun." Bungie was too busy with Halo 3 at the time to do anything.

True, yeah, I bought halo 2 vista, it was kind of cool, except you had to set it up with a windows live account, and it wasn't really any better than the xbox version. I got bored of it after a week, (but my brother liked playing the campaign when we were at a hotel :). Heck, i don't even know where i put the game now.
