Hey guys, I'm looking for an emitter that I can hang from the ceiling where a vent will be and it will have it look like a cold air to warm air fog is falling. The reason I need this is I am working on a power house (no, not powerhouse from reach) map and I need some cold air being pumped from the ceiling vents onto my generators to make a good cooling affect.
Anyone know of a good one out there? If not, would anyone be up to making one?

Halo doesn't actually have advanced atmosphere effects.
Are you looking for a foggy effect-emitter? There are emitter scenery tags that you can edit. I do not think one already exists... google it.

Yes there is one. I used a tag that could be used for such an effect in my Descent map, on the sides of the landed pod. Some kind of steam vent emitter scenery. It will still work for this.

if you dont get one couldnt you maybe lay a fog effect in the chamber or wherever you were going to use it along the ground? maybe use some other kind of steam effect to make it look like the air is being injected into the chamber from the ground?

That's a good idea, whether you were looking for that or not. Add a fog plane for the room, like chillout?

An environmental fog area can be done with fog planes. You can make the ceiling of the tunnel be a fog plane through max materials, and edit the values for that fog under the sky tag.

Haha! I already planned to. I just want a downflow of fog as well falling over the generators.

I'll have to talk to you about the emitter later Moose. Sounds like you got what I need!

Yeah, I won't get xfire until y iPod Touch is sent back to me, then I'll install the Xfire app for it. I have no other means of access to it unfortunately.

I have 2 different ones: XfMobile and Xblaze
Both claim to be the best around. Yet they're both pretty bad, although if you need to quickly log on while afk then it works fine.
