I'm going to try to prove that fighting and roleplaying players can play Halo alongside each other. I'm starting a new clan which will fight and roleplay. We'll probably have seperate servers though lol.

im fine with RP if it involves fighting between actual players.

A while ago, when the roleplaying community was at its golden age, we used to hold vs. RP's on Extinction, Beta 4,5,6, etc. Now it's just "50000000 MEGATON NUEKS BLOES UP ENTIAR COVENENT ARMADA YAE"

I rember the Red and Blue Army Stradegy RP's. We would all go into voice and listen as our Commander gave us directions as we waited for the oposing Blue Army to come in and try to tak our base. those were the fun days!

Why not attempt to make it fun again then? Nobody else seems to know how.

Every single game is a role playing game. Like it or not. In SP you are playing the role of the chief. In multiplayer you are playing the role of a soldier.
In case you didn't catch ^^this^^ that statement is my point.

in MP, you play as a soldier, who is supposed to KILL OTHER SOLDIERS.

so your role playing than. Cause are you a bio mechanical Soldier who kills people? No so there fore your role playing as one.

I knew the rp community was garbage when some kids were roleplaying mcdonalds in the top level of the chronopolis garage

I had fun assassinating everybody in that server and getting banned

the point of every game is the objective you are given. So every game is a RP, he was right about that.

BUT-every game is in a different category. Is it a FPS? RTS? either way, halo is also a FPS and the objective you are given are to kill the players on the other team. I will play by that objective, regardless if people want to pretend to be killing stuff, randomly shooting and throwing gernades everywhere. You cannot argue that RPG doesnt really work in halo-you can do it, but it doesnt really work. No one understands that-unless you can get syncing AI, Cooperation between every single player is a no no, because it destroys the primary objective of halo.

I know. It's so fun to go and destroy RP servers.
There was a roleplay on Coldsnap one time, and I joined, and these dude were roleplaying an assault on the red base with a mythos and other things. So I went on their team, rode up alongside them in a hog, dropped c4 on the mythos, and switched teams. They were like "wtf? how did u dieeeee" and i laughed manically as I watched the entire team of 8 destroyed in 1 blast.
Then I got banned from the server. Rofl.

If you do't wanna be in an RP server but join one... Just lay nukes everywhere and leave before they can ban you!

I personally like Roleplaying on ANY map. I mean, if someone bought the game, (CE is free though >_>) or the right to download Custom Edition(buying Halo PC), then they should be able to do whatever they want on it that isn't going outside the Terms of Use Agreement. I can't believe I was reading 10 posts of this thread before thinking, the people bashing on Roleplaying should just keep from those servers :O I'm a supporter of Roleplaying games, I brought rpg_beta6_2 back to version 1ce by hosting a server of it along with:
Sanctuary_final
rpg_zulu
life_rpg_v1

For the haters who never even tried, that makes your comments null and void.

PS: I only kicked like 3-5 people on my server in my whole time of hosting it for messing up an rp, BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE KNOW THAT ITS AN RP SERVER XD

PSS: I only start a Roleplay if some ppl want to, otherwise I just let them kill or race on the map. That sounds pretty fair to me, not kicking someone for not wanting to join the rp, I just tell them to not interfere, and if they want to be the enemy.

PSSS (lots of these): Roleplaying can extend to fighting and custom games. One of them is called Protect Halo, where blue keeps the red from activating the control room on the map, and ranks are given out and so are jobs, so its not fighting imaginary enemies if your not into that >_>

Oh god, I remember way back in the day, when there'd be Chronopolis RPs... It'd be like a city, and people could sell cars, start restaurants, deal drugs, be cops, etc... Good times.

I had that map, played it, we were all trying to get to the cops weapons cache in the tunnels and they kept killing us when we did that or got out of line lol. They were faster and stronger :O Oh well, i deleted that map because no1 played it anymore.

It's funny because I spent half an hour having Tiara explain that I am, in fact, part of the Steam group, and had been for some time.

And most RP is done by groups, such as the one R93 and (sometimes?) I am in, so you just kind of have to find one. Or make one, if that's your thing.

Skype is frikkin obsolete. The only reason people use it is because it comes preinstalled on all the computers... -_-

Supposedly "Discord" is supposed to be good, but I'm not personally a big fan. So far using Steam and MEGA/One Drive/Drop Box seems to be more or less okay.
