Is there a way that I can compile a .scenario into a .map that is larger than 128 megabytes. For example the map a10 the Pillar of Autumn is 150 megabytes.
Anybody have an answer...?
Thanks, Xoronatus

Single Player maps aren't limited to 128 MB, while Multiplayer maps are. Thus, SP maps tend to be larger than MP maps.
However, through the use of Tool Pro, it is possible to bypass the 128 MB limit for MP maps. HOWEVER, there is still a limit that CANNOT be bypassed, lest the map exception. Upon compilation, tool will usually print: (1.08 MB free), or something like this. This goes for SP maps as well as MP maps: if this limit is bypassed, the map will be prone to exceptions.

I rekon it depends on the computer. My old computer compiled a level with bungie h1 stuff and it was 160mb with full use of tags. But now on my computer I redoed the map and it was 200mb and it stall had 8.43mb left of tags. Note:Using normal cmd for both.

It's tag dependent, not dependent on the computer.

Yes. Why?
In addition to having more detailed models / textures / shaders, their bitmaps are mainly custom. For mods of default maps, tool will reference the default bitmaps from bitmaps.map to save space. However, as CMT's stuff is custom, said bitmaps will not be referenced from bitmaps.map, lending to a larger file size.

Try hosting the map on one computer and joining it on the other computer. You won't be able to, because the maps are obviously different. It could range from any combination of factors, such as one map having more tags than the other, one map having modified bitmaps while the other references bitmaps from bitmaps.map.
