Hey guys. I've hit a standstill on my map Genocide. The map loads fine in sapien, but as soon as I load it in Halo it crashes. The scenario is completely blank other than default sky and default globals. Whats wierder is in my debug.txt it says only this:

Perplexed, I consulted (complained to) Mooseguy and sent him the build. When he exceptioned, he got this error:

What the hell is going down here guys? I have fixed tons of exceptions before but I never even heard of this one! Why doesnt it leave a record of the error in my debug.txt? And why is this build suddenly exceptioning even though the scenario is blank? Is there something wrong with my BSP?

PLEASE HELP I'M READY TO TEAR MY HAIR OUT!!

I've heard of the second a lot. Basically, he needs to reinstall his HEK because he's missing the marker thing that Sapien uses. It's impossible to extract it from any maps because it's HEK specific.

Can't speak for mooseguy, but Sapien runs fine for me.

And all my other maps do to ingame

It's just this one crashes every time it loads in Halo.

Can anyone offer me insight that doesn't relate to sapien's object marker cause trust me that is not why my map is crashing in Halo CE.

And Moose always gets exceptions in halo when he dies. For any level. He's computer is a bit wonky

Doesn't change the fact that the

EXCEPTION halt in .\editor_renderer.cpp,#189: marker.model_index!=NONE

error is tied to the lack of tags\ui\editor\markers\normal\normal.gbxmodel

and it is the moving/marker object/gizmo in sapien.
did moose just need the sapien file?

No I sent him the compiled map and he attempted to load it just as I did in Halo. The map works 100% in sapien I have a completely populated version of it. But when I tried to compile and test it ingame it crashed which usually wouldnt have bothered me much but halo doesnt even know what crashed it! The debug.txt has no record of the crash.. :(

So I deleted things one by one testing each item until it was blank and it still wouldnt play. This has only happened since I moved the bsp to the origin in max and smoothed out the hills. Also around 5000 more poly's were added in structures and various improvements..

But for some reason unknown to me or debug.txt this new build of the bsp crashes immediately upon loading.. I am stumped completely.. I see no problems in max other than not the greatest portalling... but it never had good portals and the old builds played fine.

But yeah, I realize the error I got was from carelessly extracting your map into an empty tags folder, which apparently didn't include the gizmo.

But I still want my old computer back

EDIT: Wait a second... 5000 more polies?!?!?!?
Dude, that may be your reason right there....

Yes too much polies on the map. That could cause democratic upset. Which leads to nuclear war. Which leads to a nuclear winter.
